The gift shop called Beachcombers is located in the center of town in Governor's Harbour. They offer weekly or daily bicycle rentals. Should it strike your fancy to rent a 26’ Beachcruiser inquire with Drexel Bootle, the personable owner. The gift shop, is located beside Pyfrom's Liquor store on the main road. Boating

Anchorage
Elvira D comes complete with deep keel, taller mast and increased sail area and with a fully fitted interior. The yacht can sleep up to 6, has on board heating/ventilation, TV, fridge, 2 burner cooker and oven, hot and cold water, transom shower, dinghy with outboard, lifejackets, liferaft, local charts/pilots, satellite navigation, full instrumentation, auto-pilot and VHF radio. Bareboat Charter operates from Eleuthera - prices start from $1,800 a week. Charterers will have to provide adequate proof of competence. They also offer Day Charters. Captain Morgan
Captain Sean Morgan is a licensed fishing guide and boat captain from Eleuthera. His lifelong experiences both on this island and throughout these waters will provide guests with endless choices for fishing, snorkeling surfing, shelling or just sightseeing. He is available for guided trips by boat and automobile. His rates are: $150.00 for Half days/1-3 hours for up to three persons and $200.00 for Full days/ 4-6 hours. The Duck Inn
The Duck Inn offers boat rentals as follows: a 15 foot skiff for bone fishing, with 15 hp motor for $100 per day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. They also offer an 18 ft aquasport with a new 150 hp for tuna and marlin for $250/$400 half/full day. Namaan Rolle
Naaman Rolle of James Cistern, is available to take you out for a half-day, or day of fishing, boating, or diving off the Atlantic shores or Caribbean.  Naaman can go on the Atlantic side, because of the characteristics of his light ALUMINUM WONDER.  It is light, and can be put in anywhere, and does not need a launch driveway, which other boats do. Legend says that Naaman, to illustrate how light his boat was, walked from Bannerman Town to Harbour Island, with the boat perched on his head!! Unique Charters
Addison Cooper, the owner of Unique Village (the restaurant), and Unique Hardware, also has a charter boat that will take you on half-day, or day cruises. The boat is docked at Runaway Bay, in South Palmetto Point. It generally runs $250 for a half-day, and $450 for a full day. South Eleuthera Divers offers one-of-a-kind diving excursions. Located in Rock Sound, South Eleuthera Divers is operated by Tim Riley. Tim supplies all the equipment and offers unique diving excursions to reefs and ship wrecks off Cape Eleuthera and Rock Sound that few other divers experience. Valentine's Dive Center
Valentine’s Dive Center is located on the west side of Harbour Island. Valentine’s is a large, full-service diving center that offers advanced, beginner and children’s diving and instruction. Valentine’s features state-of-the-art underwater vehicles for reef running adventures. They also offer night diving, snorkeling, boat charters and deep sea fishing. Clear Water Dive Shop
The Clear Water Dive Shop is located in the main shopping plaza in Governor’s Harbour. Clear Water Dive Shop offers equipment rental and air tank re-fills. Charles Sands operates a new dive boat and is quite familiar with the waters around Governor’s Harbor and Palmetto Point. He both charters the boat and can act as a fishing or dive guide. Gladstone & Paul Petty
Gladstone Petty and his son Paul are perhaps the best-known fishermen in Governor’s Harbour. The father and son team offer both reef and bone fishing. To arrange an excursion, please contact Gladstone at (242) 332-2993 or Paul at (242) 332-2963. Please note that the best time to contact them is between 6-7:00 a.m. or in the evening between 8 – 9 p.m.

Lorenzo Hunt “Lookup”, is your personal fishing-guide for catching bonefish, permit, jackfish, houndfish, snipe and tarpon on Eleuthera in the Bahamas. His “daily bread” is catching crawfish, grouper, snapper, maji maji, wahoo, blue-marlin, kingfish and jewfish. He dives and spear fishes. Lorenzo operates out of Tarpum Bay. Golf

Cotton Bay Club
Located in the south past Rock Sound, The Cotton Bay Club is the former site of the most exclusive resort in the Bahamas. Several decades ago, it was host to European royalty and America’s rich & famous. The grounds include a Robert Trent Jones golf course, which, when constructed, was one of the nicest courses anywhere. Although the Cotton Bay Club has been closed for many decades, the Robert Trent Jones golf course is still open to this day. Although not meticulously maintained, the course boasts a championship layout running right along the ocean. No tee time is necessary, greens fees are $100 (USD) and club rentals are $15. Credit cards are not accepted. While the course no longer offers championship conditions, it is quite playable and the ocean holes are spectacular. Library

Haynes Library
Established in 1897, Haynes Library has been providing outstanding service to the island of Eleuthera since its re-opening in August 1996. The library offers a variety of programs and events throughout the year for the many children and adults who use the facility. Haynes is a privately managed, non-profit organization with a public mission.

Every Saturday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., arts and crafts are offered for young people at Haynes Library. This program spearheaded by Donna Allen (Friends of the Library committee member) and Annie Griffin (a local resident of Governors Harbour), includes painting, mobile building, decorations for holiday events, puppet making, paper mache, masks and many more fun and educational activities. The children help set up as well as clean up after the project which is then followed by a snack, cold drink and story time. Please join us as a volunteer or bring a young person along to enjoy our library. Everyone is welcome!
